About this vessel
Fairwind of Kinsale is a long keel traditional Bermudan Cutter. She was built in 1935 and has been in the same ownership for 25 years. Currently afloat in Suffolk and sailing. Engine works well having been rebuilt a few years ago and is very reliable. Fairwind is one of the prettiest boats on the river Alde and is a joy to sail. She has spent much of her life on the east coast but I have also sailed her to Holland and the south coast. I am sad to sell her but looking for a new owner who can enjoy her and look after her. She is sister ship to Trade Wind which sailed across the Atlantic to America. She was built by Clapton and sons, Barton on Humber and was very strongly built.
